The majority of programmes seem to focus solely on marketing or business management, and the few courses that cover logistics or shipping management address practitioners and service providers, rather than users like you.

Here’s the good news — Singapore Shippers’ Academy is the very first training institution of its kind in Asia to tailor courses for shippers who need a hybrid curriculum of shippers’-centric courses.

Academy Ethos

Singapore Shippers’ Academy Pte Ltd is the brainchild of the Singapore National Shippers’ Council (SNSC), and was set up to address the lack of training programmes available for shippers in Singapore and Asia. SNSC (formed in 1972) is a private organisation with voluntary membership and plays pivotal roles in the shipper industry locally, regionally and internationally, representing the interests of Singapore’s shippers’ community.

Realising the need for a training institute for shippers that would plug the gap between conventional business schools and shipping-based programmes, SNSC established the Singapore Shippers’ Academy.
